So while some of us were riding, the Grillmaster was tending the fire under his latest creation – behold the beauty that is the Porkinator!

For Joe Cain day our group of friends was split, as many folks headed to the grassy knoll to fire up the grill,  setup camp, and setup the bar – others were headed down to the park at Texas Street to load up on the Clown-N-Around Float. It’s really hard to put all the emotions into words – the excitement, the joy at the prospect of taking to the streets on Joe Cain Sunday.

It’s funny how weeks of preparation all came down to a few short hours, but wow – what a ride! As we past the McDonalds on  Government street I looked back and saw that “Makin Bacon” sign and got super excited at the prospect of seeing our friends! When we got to the grassy knoll we saw a myriad of signs waving and we threw our hearts out! Imagine our surprise when down the street we saw more and more familiar faces.

What an incredible rush!
